Most subbies leak $20–40K a month on undocumented variations and missed notice deadlines. We’re fixing that.

Data residency

Your project data stays in Australia.

Siteovo runs entirely on Australian-hosted infrastructure. Your chat data, your schedules, your variations, your audit trail — all stored in Australia, governed by Australian law. Even our AI inference runs on Australian-deployed models.

1. Where your data lives

All customer data hosted in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region. Multiple availability zones for resilience. No data replication outside Australia.

2. Why this matters

Tier 1 head contractors increasingly require AU data residency for any sub-contractor tool that handles project data. Government infrastructure projects often mandate it. Siteovo meets the requirement out of the box.

3. Australian Privacy Principles

Siteovo complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We respect APP 1–13.

4. Encryption

AES-256 at rest. TLS 1.3 in transit. Encryption keys managed in AWS KMS, AU region.

5. Access controls

Only authorised Siteovo support staff can access customer data, and only when responding to a support request from your team. All access is logged in an immutable audit trail.

6. AI inference

Ovo (our AI) runs on Anthropic and OpenAI inference endpoints. Where possible, we use Australian-hosted endpoints; otherwise, we use providers with Australian data processing agreements that prevent prompt data being used for model training. No customer project data leaves the AU residency boundary for AI processing.

7. Backups

Daily encrypted backups, retained 30 days, stored only in AU regions.

8. Sovereignty

No customer data leaves Australian jurisdiction. We will not transfer data offshore without explicit customer consent.

9. Compliance roadmap

Actively pursuing ISO 27001 certification (target 2027) and SOC 2 Type II (target 2027).

10. Procurement support

For Tier 1 builders or government procurement teams requiring documentation, use the contact form and select “Partnership enquiry” or “Privacy / security” from the dropdown. We’ll send our security pack.
